Building the missing layer between AI and law.
What we believe, and why we decided to act on it.
Why we started
For all the investment in legal AI, the hardest part of legal work has not changed. Documents still get drafted at the last minute. Matters still wait on parties. Threads still fall silent at the wrong moment. Business pressure keeps building and legal capacity does not keep up. The tools improved the output. The rest of the work stayed exactly as it was.
We started Paremy because we know that gap from the inside. Late nights before a signing, chasing the one party who stopped responding, the steady accumulation of work that shouldn't need a lawyer's time. We believed that cost was avoidable. And that the technology to address it had finally arrived.
So we decided to build something different. Not another prompt interface. A new layer of the legal practice, one that understands how a matter works, keeps track of what's outstanding, and takes care of the routine without being asked.
Lawyers should do lawyer work.
Most legal time goes to things that don't require legal expertise. Drafting from templates, chasing progress, coordinating next steps. None of it is the point. All of it gets in the way.
AI should act, not just answer.
A system that waits to be prompted still puts the burden on you. The right standard for AI in law is initiative, not just accuracy.
The judgement is still yours.
Judgement, trust, relationships. These can't be automated, and they shouldn't be. Our job is to clear everything else so lawyers can spend their time there.
“We didn't set out to build another legal AI. We set out to change what it means to work in a legal team.”
